Career Counseling
Career counseling consists of several parts. First, it is the process of exploring and identifying your interests, values, abilities, strengths, aptitudes, personality and the world of work (current labor market information and trends) in order to determine a career or life path. Secondly, it is the time to address any personal, behavioral, social, educational and or work issues that may be undermining in reaching your goals. Finally, it is an opportunity to get support when you are experiencing job loss, job stress, or other career transition issues. In addressing these needs it will enable you to make an “informed” career decision.
Perhaps you are uncertain about the next phase in your life, or your current job doesn’t support your new career goal, or you are afraid to make the leap to doing something new and different, or you are experiencing anxiety about going back to school for more training or education, or maybe you are feeling worthless and depressed after being laid off.
Whatever it is, career counseling with a professionally trained counselor can help you better understand yourself and provide effective strategies for dealing with personal issues. As a reputable career counselor I approach each individual holistically, considering all aspects of your life and how they affect you in dealing with these concerns and making informed decisions about your goals.
